My gerbil had her first litter? When can I hold them?

Before you tell me it was wrong to breed them blame my pet store. They sell gerbils 2 young to tell the gender. Don't tell me the mom might reject them if i hold them because one baby crawled away from the nest and i picked it up and took it back to the mommy. Zerry, the mommy, was fine with it. I just don't want to hurt the babies. Right now they are two days old. There are 7 and I have researched baby gerbils. You also don't have to tell me to take the dad out he is helping not hurting the babies and Zerry is already pregnant again.
