How can I get rid of my pet alligator?

So I live on a lake. And about 5 years ago there was an alligator nest near my house. So i stole an egg. And it hatched! So I kept it in my aquarium until he was like a foot and a half. Then I moved him to the bathtub. Now he is 4.5-5.5 feet long. He is too big to move. I am scared he will bite me, eat my cat, or bite/eat my kids. But i don't want to go to jail. Is there anyway I can get rid of him consequence free?
