How to convert (simple) Metric Units?

I only need to know the simple metric units, i.e Kg to g, Km to m, Liters to Milliliters etc, the every day units. Plus, I need the METHOD of working them out, i.e to get from Liters to Milliliters, Divide by 1000, or to get from Kg to g Times by 10...that sort of thing...And if possible, can the answer be simple and easy to follow? Thanks! =D
